Your Ocean Alexander vessel may be equipped with a Gardall® security safe, designed to provide secure onboard storage for valuables, passports, documents, cash, and other personal items.
This guide provides the operating instructions for your Gardall safe, including how to unlock and secure the safe, as well as the procedure for changing the factory-set default combination to a personalized access code.
Before You Begin #
It is strongly recommended that you change the factory default combination upon taking delivery of your vessel. Select a combination that is easy for you to remember but difficult for others to guess.
Operating Instructions #
This guide includes instructions for:
- Opening the safe using the current combination.
- Locking and securing the safe.
- Changing the factory-set combination to a personalized code.
- Verifying the new combination before closing and locking the safe.
Important Recommendations #
- Always test your new combination several times with the safe door open before locking the door.
- Store your combination in a secure location separate from the safe.
- Never force the locking mechanism or handle if the safe does not open as expected.
- If the safe is equipped with electronic locking components, replace the batteries as recommended by the manufacturer to ensure reliable operation.
Important: Ocean Alexander does not retain or have access to your personalized safe combination. If the combination is forgotten or entered incorrectly multiple times, a qualified locksmith or authorized Gardall service provider may be required to regain access. Charges associated with lockout services are the responsibility of the owner.
