The EV-011 enhances situational awareness by displaying the length of chain paid out in either <strong>feet or meters<\/strong>, allowing for more precise anchor deployment and improved anchoring practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The EV-011 is a <strong>display-only device<\/strong>. It receives signals from a magnetic sensor mounted on the windlass gypsy and calculates the amount of chain passing through the windlass. <strong>The chain counter does not control the windlass.<\/strong> All anchor deployment and retrieval functions are performed using the helm controls, deck-mounted foot switches, handheld remote, or other installed windlass controls.
