This instructional video demonstrates the proper procedure for locking and unlocking the Side-Power Vector Fin Stabilization System into Float Mode on your Ocean Alexander yacht.
Float Mode allows the stabilizer fins to move freely without active hydraulic control, making it easier and safer to perform underwater inspections, remove marine growth or tangled debris, and carry out routine hull and fin cleaning by qualified personnel.
Before placing the stabilizer system into Float Mode, ensure the vessel is safely secured, the surrounding area is clear, and all safety precautions outlined in the Side-Power operator’s manual have been followed. Once maintenance or cleaning has been completed, the fins should be returned to their normal operating mode before the stabilizer system is placed back into service.
