If your vessel has been commissioned with an Echelon Workout Mirror, periodic software and firmware updates are recommended to ensure optimal performance, access to the latest features, security enhancements, and compatibility with Echelon services.
Before You Begin #
- Verify the vessel has a stable internet connection.
- Connect the mirror to a reliable power source. Do not disconnect power during the update process.
- Ensure you have your Echelon account credentials available if prompted to sign in.
Updating the Mirror #
- Power on the Echelon Workout Mirror.
- Connect the mirror to the vessel’s Wi-Fi network, if it is not already connected.
- From the home screen, open Settings.
- Select System or Device Settings.
- Navigate to Software Update or Check for Updates.
- If an update is available, select Download and Install.
- Allow the download and installation to complete. The mirror may restart automatically during the update.
- Once the update is complete, verify the software version if desired and resume normal operation.
Important Notes #
- Update times will vary depending on the size of the update and the speed of the internet connection.
- Do not power off or unplug the mirror while an update is in progress, as this may interrupt the installation.
- If the update fails, restart the mirror, verify the internet connection, and try the update again.
Recommendation: Check for software updates periodically, particularly before extended voyages, to ensure the system is running the latest software and security updates.
