Ocean Alexander interiors feature premium Alpi® wood veneers, selected for their exceptional appearance and durability. Proper care and routine maintenance will help preserve the natural beauty and finish of these surfaces for years to come.
Routine Cleaning #
- Dust regularly using a clean, dry microfiber or soft lint-free cloth.
- For routine cleaning, wipe surfaces with a soft cloth lightly dampened with water and a mild, pH-neutral detergent.
- After cleaning, dry the surface immediately with a clean, soft cloth to prevent moisture from remaining on the veneer.
Products to Avoid #
To protect the factory finish, do not use:
- Cleaners containing alcohol, ammonia, petroleum, or other harsh solvents.
- Abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or rough cloths.
- Silicone- or wax-based furniture polishes, as they can leave a residue that builds up over time and may alter the appearance of the finish.
Protecting the Veneer #
- Minimize prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, which may cause fading or discoloration over time.
- Use blinds, curtains, or UV-protective window films whenever practical to reduce UV exposure.
- Keep hot objects away from wood surfaces. Always use coasters, placemats, or protective pads beneath hot cookware, beverages, or decorative items to prevent heat damage.
- Avoid prolonged contact with standing water or excessive moisture.
Cleaning Recommendations #
- When using a mild soap-and-water solution, gently wipe the surface without excessive pressure.
- Do not scrub or aggressively rub the finish, as this may dull or damage the protective coating.
- Promptly wipe up spills to prevent moisture from penetrating joints or edges.
Best Practices #
- Dust frequently to maintain the veneer’s natural appearance.
- Use only soft microfiber or lint-free cloths for routine care.
- Avoid dragging heavy or sharp objects across finished wood surfaces to prevent scratches.
Note: Proper care and routine maintenance will help preserve the appearance and longevity of your Alpi® wood veneer. Damage resulting from improper cleaning methods or the use of harsh chemicals may not be covered under warranty.
